Singer Chris Brown has landed himself in another trouble with the law and this time it is for owning an exotic creature as a pet without proper permit.
Chris who decided to get a monkey instead of dogs, cats or other regular pets faces charges in the United States where he failed to get the required permit required to own a baby capuchin monkey named Fiji. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office is charging Brown with two counts of owning a restricted species without a permit. The violations carry a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail.
Earlier in the year, Breezy was put under scruity on social media after he shared a post of his then 3-year-old daughter, Royalty playing with the pet. He was later forced to give up the pet after a horde of people online reported him to the authorities.
The charges have finally been filed and Brown is due in court on February 6.
